Setting a Victor Pro Rat Trap

1. Unset the trap and let the arm hang back.

2. Bait the Trap - Apply bait on the plastic yellow plate. Peanut butter is a great choice- but variety is key!

3. Pull back the kill bar and hold it securely with your thumb.

4. Place the arm over the kill bar and secure it under the plastic pedal. Release it slowly until you feel it catch.

5. Slide the trap into the tunnel. This is primarily to:

protect children, pets, and other non-target species, to guide rats into the trap for efficient and humane killing. Tunnels also provide a more durable and weather-resistant structure for placing traps outdoors.
