This evening is for you!
We’re heading into our third annual Matuku-hūrepo muster, and we’d love your help! There’s no better way to learn about this critically endangered manu than to join us, along with guest speaker Wendy Ambury, from the Love Bittern Project.
The Love Bittern Project is dedicated to empowering community-led conservation of Australasian Bittern | Matuku-hūrepo (Botaurus poiciloptilus). During the evening, Wendy will provide a summary of bittern basics, what is happening nationwide, features of an intact bittern habitat, and how you can help with 'The Great Matuku Muster'.
We’ll need lots of volunteers as we record bitterns during their upcoming breeding season this Spring when males are booming.
