Working Together to Restore Biodiversity from Mountain to Sea

Join us for a full day to celebrate and strengthen restoration efforts in and around Whāingaroa Moana and Karioi Maunga - You won't want to miss this local Waikato Biodiversity Forum event.

This event brings together local groups, researchers, and community members working to restore indigenous biodiversity across our rohe. Expect inspiring presentations, shared challenges and opportunities, and a guided field trip to restoration sites.

After lunch, to see some mahi in action, we’ll head out on a short field trip to:

  • Wainamu Beach - with Angeline Greensill and Stacey Hill, Coast Care

  • Ngarunui Beach - with Kristel, Karioi Project  

This is a chance to connect, learn, and celebrate the incredible work happening across our coastal and mountain landscapes. We’d love to see you there.
