Bush Ridge
(On the Wild West Coast)
We’re sending you to the Wild West Coast!
This video is the quickest way to explain your line. It’s worth taking a minute to watch it! If you prefer written instructions and a map, scroll down.
Your line: Bush Ridge
Entry point: Park 3.7 km south of Te Toto Lookout - you’ll find a spot there to leave your car. Be mindful that another volunteer may need to park there too.
You’re right at the start of Bush Ridge!
There are 36 bait stations and 25 traps.
Exit point: Once done, walk back down to the car.
Your line is also a trapline, so if you think you can manage both baiting and trapping, why not take your trapping kit along too?
Be ready for DOC200s & Flipping Timmies.
On TrapNZ:
Traps will be on the ‘KP-Raglan’ project, but
Bait stations will be on ‘KP-Bait Lines’ project.
If you have a buddy, you can each be on a different ‘project’ and each record one set of data. Alternatively, jot down your trap data, and enter it later. Switching back and forth between projects is a bad idea!
*Be mindful - this is a long line! Trapping may only be realistic with a buddy.
