CPC & PCK Lower
Peacocke’s Finger
This video is the quickest way to explain your lines. It’s worth taking 2 minutes to watch it! If you prefer written instructions and a map, scroll down.
Your bait lines: CPC & PCK Lower
Entry point: You will be dropped off near the start of CPC, to save your legs for the real work!
Tackle each of the bait stations along CPC.
When CPC tees up to PCK, turn right/downhill onto PCK (Peacocke’s line)
CPC & PCK overlap for a little while - look for either code on the track markers.
Keep checking each bait station until you at the end of PCK.
Exit point: You will come out of the bush at the end of PCK, which is at the tip of what we call the ‘Peacocke Finger.’ From there, you’ll walk across paddocks (following the green ‘paddock walk’ line on TrapNZ as a guide if needed) to where you may have left a car at 682 Te Hutewai Rd. (You get pre-planning bonus points if you’ve done that!)
Then make your way back to the Red Barn (754 Te Hutewai Rd) to drop off any gear & sign out.
Notes:
Some bait stations on these lines are hard to find, so keep an eye on the numbers to ensure you haven’t skipped any.
You should be addressing every bait station along this route.
